PATIENT INFORMATION

Your dentist takes photos of you before the treatment and measures the your teeth. The tooth is anesthetized. It is abraded. Once the appropriate shape for the crown is achieved, the tooth is measured. The tooth is prepared in the laboratory. It is rehearsed inside the mouth. Its color, size and surface features are evaluated and it is given shape. It is sent back to the laboratory if corrections are needed. When the corrections are done, it is placed onto the tooth using a special adhesive.

Lamina is bonded onto the tooth surface with special adhesives and it is impossible for it come off unless it is exposed to axial force. But it can be removed upon request by dentists. It can be used for many years provided that regular check ups are performed and the oral and dental health is good.

There are two major factors for which we choose laminate teeth; one is that it is prepared with minimal abrasion on tooth surface, since the abraded surface is only the outer surface of the tooth, the natural tooth surfaces on the tongue and palate zones remain intact. So, healthy teeth surface losses are minimized. The second reason is, it meets aesthetic expectations with its high level features. Its luminous transmittance and biological compatibility with natural teeth is above and beyond accepted standards.

In the first stage, the teeth are prepared for the crown restoration with appropriate cutting and the teeth are measured. The compliance of the substructure prepared in the laboratory with the gums is checked. After having checked the tooth color, shape and its harmony with your face, the finalization stage follows. Zirconium coating will be completed within an average of 7 to 10 days.

There are 3 main aesthetic zones in aesthetic dentistry. One of them is white aesthetics which comprises the teeth which and the other one is the pink aesthetics which comprises gums and lips. The fact that your gums are too visible when you smile is a topic of pink aesthetics and it can be fixed through some procedures to be carried out on your gums.

Smile is a composition of teeth, gums and lips. Just as a coherence among the paragraphs of a literary composition renders the text successful, the relation between the teeth, gums and lips ensures the integrity and naturality of the smile aesthetics. Our objective with the Smile Makeover is to organize the relation and harmony between the teeth, gums and lips using some aesthetic parameters we call the Golden Ratio. It requires a multidisciplinary study.

The duration of the surgery may vary between half and hour to a few hours depending on the number of implants to be placed and the conditions of the patient. After the operation, there is a waiting period of 8 to 12 weeks to allow the implant to fuse to the bone (osteointegration). After that, the dentures are placed onto these implants with a procedure that lasts a few sessions. In some cases where appropriate conditions are ensured, the dentures can be placed without having to wait. These dentures where all the facilities of the contemporary dentistry are engineering marvels.

The researches have demonstrated that the success of the implant may vary between 90-100%. The implants we make are under lifetime guarantee since we can re-apply an implant on the same area even if it fails.

The main area of application of dental implants is the elimination of lack of teeth. Cosmetic improvements can also be achieved while eliminating the lack of teeth.

Implants are usually made of biocompatible material called titanium. Since titanium is not an organic substance, it does not create antigen – antibody reactions in heart and kidney transplantations. Therefore a “tissue rejection” is not in question.
