Many sportsmen are exposed to impact many times throughout their lives. If the severity of the impact is low, it causes body heat and if it is high, it causes injuries in the soft tissue and sometimes it may lead to change of place or fractures on the bones and teeth. The most common cases of trauma are; close-combat sports, football, basketball, skiing and sport branches in which racquets or bats are used. The appliances manufactured to prevent accidents like upper jaw fractures that occur during sports activities, upper incisors damages, facial bone fractures, increased intracranial pressure, neck and brain injuries and to protect persons against traumas are called “mouth guards-teeth protectors”.
